सीवीसी CVC का Full Form : Central Vigilance Commission (केंद्रीय सतर्कता आयोग) होता है. केंद्रीय सतर्कता आयोग (CVC) एक शीर्ष भारतीय सरकारी निकाय है जिसे 1964 में सरकारी भ्रष्टाचार को संबोधित करने के लिए बनाया गया था। 2003 में, संसद ने CVC को वैधानिक दर्जा प्रदान करने वाला एक कानून बनाया। इसे एक स्वायत्त निकाय का दर्जा प्राप्त है, जो किसी भी कार्यकारी प्राधिकरण के नियंत्रण से मुक्त है, जो भारत की केंद्र सरकार के तहत सभी सतर्कता गतिविधियों की निगरानी के लिए जिम्मेदार है, केंद्र सरकार के संगठनों में विभिन्न प्राधिकरणों को उनके सतर्कता कार्य की योजना बनाने, क्रियान्वित करने, समीक्षा करने और सुधार करने की सलाह देता है।
सतर्कता के क्षेत्र में केंद्र सरकार की एजेंसियों को सलाह और मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए श्री के.संथानम समिति की अध्यक्षता में भ्रष्टाचार निवारण समिति की सिफारिशों पर 11 फरवरी 1964 को भारत सरकार के संकल्प द्वारा इसकी स्थापना की गई थी। नित्तूर श्रीनिवास राव को भारत के पहले मुख्य सतर्कता आयुक्त के रूप में चुना गया था।
सीवीसी की वार्षिक रिपोर्ट न केवल इसके द्वारा किए गए कार्यों का विवरण देती है, बल्कि सिस्टम की विफलताओं को भी सामने लाती है जिससे विभिन्न विभागों/संगठनों में भ्रष्टाचार, प्रणाली में सुधार, विभिन्न निवारक उपायों और मामलों में आयोग की सलाह की अनदेखी की गई आदि। .

CVC Full Form in English : Central Vigilance Commission .It is the apex body for controlling corruption related to the officers/employees of various departments of the Government of India. It was established in the year 1964. The constitution of this commission was recommended by the Santhanam Committee (1962-64) which was constituted to give suggestions related to prevention of corruption. The Central Vigilance Commission is a multi-member body having statutory status.
The Central Vigilance Commission is free from the control of any executive authority and supervises all vigilance activities under the Central Government. It advises various authorities in central government organizations in planning, executing, reviewing and improving their vigilance functions.
The Central Vigilance Commission Bill was passed by both the Houses of Parliament in the year 2003, which was assented to by the President on 11 September 2003. It consists of a Central Vigilance Commissioner who is the Chairman and two other Vigilance Commissioners (members not exceeding two).
By the Government of India's Resolution on Public Interest Disclosure and Informer Protection dated April 2004, the Government of India made the Central Vigilance Commission a designated agency to receive written complaints relating to disclosure of any allegation of corruption or abuse of office and recommend appropriate action. as authorized.
